Packaging Manufacturer: Innovation of Production Processes and Eco-Friendly Solutions
An experienced packaging manufacturer who keeps up with market needs is able to produce packaging tailored to the expectations of a specific company and brand. It uses advanced technologies as well as the highest quality raw materials.
In addition, it is guided by sustainable development, takes into account ecological aspects in the production process and the possibility of recycling the packaging it produces. Find out what products can be manufactured and what technologies are used.

Packaging manufacturer — what products can be developed?
What does a packaging manufacturer do? Such a company can produce packaging that is used to store various chemicals and food products in solid and liquid form. This type of packaging is more elegant than standard cardboard packaging and perfectly protects the contents from contact with the outside. Thanks to this, the contents don’t dry out, don’t react with e.g. sunlight or are easy to transport.
These types of packaging products include mainly bottles, canisters, but also various elements that facilitate dosing of the products inside. We are talking about spoons, containers for dispensing loose products, and funnels.
Regardless of whether the manufacturer of such packaging is a family company or a large corporation, it must comply with applicable production regulations, use the highest quality raw materials and take into account all applicable laws and regulations. Their products must be reliable, fulfil their functions and be safe for the customer. At the same time, they must be adapted to the requirements of specific brands.
The company that produces such packaging most often uses materials that are very durable, enable long-term storage of the substances contained in them without fear of losing their quality, and are also recyclable. The most frequently used raw materials are HDPE, PP, LDPE, PET, PS, POM.
Such packaging may have different designs, different capacity and different closure methods. They also differ in the shape of the bottom — it can be a circular, oval or rectangular base.
Manufacturer of packaging — what technologies can be used?
Three types of packaging production technologies are most often mentioned. These are blow moulding, injection moulding and PET production.
Blow moulding enables the production of packaging in which personal hygiene products, food, and chemicals needed in the household are stored. This method uses raw materials such as HDPE, LDPE, PCR and PP. This method allows obtaining various shapes and extruding bottles and containers with different necks and finishes.
Most often, these products are made of two or three layers, which increases their durability, resistance to damage, etc. Packaging with handles can also be produced.
Injection moulding is the second production method used by packaging manufacturers. It enables the production of a variety of packaging and is considered one of the ones that offers the most possibilities. This technique ensures high precision and dimensional accuracy in production.
This is a technique that is very often used in mass production. Its greatest advantages are the speed of production, the possibility of reusing the remaining raw material, the freedom of shapes of the produced packaging, and the option of producing many products simultaneously in one cycle production.
The last type is PET production (Injection Stretch Blow Moulding, or ISBM). This method works best in the production of light and thin packaging. These are most often bottles and containers used as packaging for drinks, shower gels, glass cleaners, etc. The name comes from the type of raw material used in production, which is PET or R-PET. This method involves creating a preform using injection moulding.
Thanks to this, the bottleneck takes on the appropriate shape and stiffness, and the cap fits into it. The next step is to shape the rest of the package by blow moulding. If the production capabilities allow it and the company has advanced equipment, both processes can take place in one stage on one machine.
Great range of products that are ECO
How does each reputable packaging manufacturer promote sustainable development and care for the natural environment? It uses PCR, i.e. recycled plastics, to produce many packaging. Thanks to this, much waste and rubbish is properly managed, and the packaging production process leaves a smaller carbon footprint.
Most often, such waste is post-consumer waste, i.e. it comes from rubbish produced by households. Single-layer and three-layer machines are used to produce packaging from such plastic. The most commonly produced bottles are PET and HDPE, as well as HDPE and PP containers. However, these are not packaging used in the food industry.
Innovation and technological advancement provide enormous production possibilities using plastics. At the same time, the possibility of recycling and reusing plastics increases concern for the natural environment and promotes good, ecological practices in this business.
